Fight Club (1999)

The most iconic film of Fincher’s career and possibly the last 20 years, Fight Club defined a generation, changed the way we think about life and love and insomnia, and redefined what a movie twist can be.  Edward Norton’s character is the definition of the average, everyday man and, thanks to Brad Pitt’s Tyler Durden, becomes the epitome of a critique on our lifestyle and culture in America.  We learned a new set of rules and the name Robert Paulson.  It is hard to imagine life without Fight Club which is a key indicator of an iconic film and why it is Fincher’s greatest film to date.
