I am a big fan of Lauren Ambrose. I have loved every performance that I have seen from her, including this brilliant one in Starting Out in the Evening. Her acting chops are definitely shown off here with her subtle, beautiful performance opposite Frank Langella. To me, she is always going to be Claire Fisher from Six Feet Under, but if she is given the opportunity, she can be among the best actresses of her generation. She has a screen presence that just exudes emotion and is always relatable. I cannot say enough about her.
