Top to Bottom: Al Pacino
3.

Michael Corleone
The Godfather: Part II
(1974)
“There are many things my father
taught me here in this room. He taught me: keep your friends
close, but your enemies closer.”
A popular opinion
among film aficionados is that Pacino’s work in
The Godfather: Part II
is one of the best of all time, even better than his work in
the original. I cannot fully agree, but they are extremely
close. His stillness and calmness makes every move he makes
and every word he says even more chilling. The “kiss of
death” scene with Fredo is as good as it gets. Everything
about Pacino in this installment is just astonishing.
